My message to the reader

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out Elise Ellington’s story. I wanted to share her journey because, for so many people, dealing with life after trauma can feel so lonely. It’s not just about “surviving” the event— it changes who you are and how you live life everyday after.

Elise’s path to finding her voice isn’t easy. Speaking up about what she’s been through lifts a huge weight off her shoulders, but it also leaves her feeling like a shell of who she used to be. Even with that brave step, she’s left more vulnerable than she ever imagined.

But here’s the thing: as much as trauma can break us, it also teaches us resilience, survival, and how much we need connection. Elise meeting Ethan brings a little light into her life—a reminder that peace, understanding, and maybe even healing are possible. She realizes she doesn’t have to face this alone.

Elise’s story isn’t just hers—it’s for anyone who’s had to navigate trauma, fight for justice, or face the world after it has shattered you. Through her, I hope you see a bit of your own journey or maybe gain a better understanding of someone else’s.

Thanks again for reading. I hope Elise’s story gives you some hope and strength, just like it did for me. Remember, you’re never alone.

Take care,
Caroline
